On December 11, the ANTOR Annual Conference was held in London, bringing together representatives from national and regional tourist boards, media professionals, and industry experts to discuss and analyze the current state and future prospects of responsible tourism.
The conference, themed “Pathway to Responsible Tourism,” featured distinguished speakers from various fields. Luke Hand, Insight Director of Mail Metro Media, shared key travel trends forecasted for 2025, while Justin Francis, Founder and Executive Chair of Responsible Travel, highlighted the roles and responsibilities of destinations in advancing responsible tourism.
Representatives from travel agencies, airlines, and tour operators also shared their perspectives on sustainable travel. Among them, Sabrina Parker, Global Sustainability Manager of Audley Travel, Tricia Handley-Hughes, UK and Ireland Managing Director of InteleTravel.uk, and Peter O’Broin, UK and Ireland Government Affairs Manager of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), offered insights into their respective industries’ strategies for sustainable development.
As a member of ANTOR, China National Tourist Office London participated in the event, engaging in discussions with industry peers to explore ways of promoting responsible tourism and advancing sustainable practices.
