From April 25th to 27th, 2024, Director Zhang Li of the China National Tourist Office in London paid a two-day visit to Edinburgh. During his visit, Director Zhang Li paid visits to prominent figures in the cultural and tourism sectors, including Councillor Cammy Day, Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council, Keith Campbell, Asia-Pacific and Middle East Market Manager of VisitScotland, and Margaret McNeil, Director of the Edinburgh Tourism Action Group. Director Zhang Li introduced the function of this office and expressed sincere willingness of enhancing collaboration with Scottish cultural and tourism entities, receiving enthusiastic responses from all those sides. Furthermore, Director Zhang Li also made a courtesy visit to Consul General Zhang Biao of the People’s Republic of China in Edinburgh to explore potential cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism in the future.
