Liberation Monument CBD

Lijiang River Scenic Area

The Lijiang River is a national key scenic area and the essence of Guilin scenery. Stretching from Guilin to Yangshuo, the Lijiang River is 83km in its full length. If you go aboard at Mopanshan Dock or Zhujiang Dock, the journey is about 60 km, in which the most beautiful section is the 40 km or so from the starting dock to Xingping. Scenery alont the Lijiang River is charming and attractive, which is famous for the green mountains, clear waters, peculiar caves and beautiful rocks.

Lingkong Mountain Scenic Area

Lingkong Mountain Scenic Area

The Lingkong Mountain, also know as the Jiuding Mountain, is 30km northwest of Qinyuan County. Looked at from afar, the mountain is covered by pine trees and surrounded by steep and precipitous cliffs with a multitude of gurgling springs. The Shenghou Temple is a must-see when visiting the mountain. Temples, Buddhist nurseries, the Xiaoqiao Bridge, the Luanqiao Bridge and the East Bell Tower have all been well preserved and thus retain their magnificent orderly arrangement. In addition, dozens of rarely seen sturdy pine trees have been standing on the mountain since ancient times, maintaining their uniquw shapes such as three sticks of incense, nine flags on poles, or a Buddha with two Bodhisattvas. Visitors can also enjoy many wonderful natural features, such as the Gahai Cave, the Wulong Pool and 18 windings, where emerald mountains are surrounded with crystal waters and enveloped with clouds.

When viewed from the height of the Litchi Pavilion, strings of dark red litchi in bunches, set within the dancing green leaves greet the eyes of the visitors. This is how the park gets its name.

Liulichang Culture Street

Liulichang Culture Street

Situated in Hepingmenwai, Xuanwu District, Liulichang Culture Street used to be the place where kilns for producing glazed tiles were situated in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. In the early Qing Dynasty, business people of antiques opened antique shops on the street. During the Qianlong reign period (1736-1795), Liulichang became a collecting and distributing center of ancient paintings, calligraphic works, ancient books, rubbings and the four treasures of the study (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper). in 1982 Liulichang Culture Street was renovated, and now it has become a street with unique cultural characteristics in Beijing.

Located in the southern suburb of Yingtan City, the Longhu mountain Scenic Area is the birthplace of Chinese Taoism and renowned as the Taoist Town of China. It is a combenation of key national scenic and historic interest area, national AAAA tourist area, national forest park, national geopark and cultural relics unit under State protection. Covering a total area of over 200 square km, the Longhu Mountain consists of 99 peaks, 24 rock formations and 108 natural and cultural sights. The Taoist culture, red mountain and green jade water secret cliff graves constitute the "Three Wonders" of the sights of the Longhu Mountain. Of the total, te Fairy Water Rock and the Elephant Trunk Hill are must-see attractions. 

Longji Terraced Fields

Longji Terraced Fields

Located in Ping'an Village in Heping Townshp, 23 kilometers from Longsheng County, the scenic zone covers an area of 66 square kilometers. The terraced fields scatter between the geights of 300 to 1,100 meters above sea level and the slope angles are between 26 to 35 degrees, and the biggest angle is 50 degrees. The Longji Terraced Fields were first built in the Yuan Dynasty (1206 - 1368) and were completed in the early Qing Dynasty (1616 - 1911), which have a history of more than 600 years. The terraced fields have a very large scale, winding from the food of the mountain to the mountain top with high and low layers. 

Longmen Grottoes

Longmen Grottoes

Situated in Longmen Town, Luolong District, Luoyang , the Longmen Grottoes is a world culture heritage, a national AAAAA tourism zone, a national key historical mounment under state protection and one of the three major grotto art treasure houses in China. Construction of the Longmen Guottoes started in the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), continued in the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties and ended in the Northern Song Dynasty (907-1127), lasting more than 400 years. According to statistics, there are over 2,340 niches in the eastern and western hills, over 70 Buddhist pagodas and ober 100,000 statues in total. Of them, the statue of Variocana is the largest , 17.14m in height; and the smallest one is only 2cm high. In addition, the Longmen Grottoes has more than 2,860 incribed steles, ranking first in all the grottoes in China. Most of the statues in the Longmen Guottoes were created in the Northern Wei and Tang dynasties, and those carved in the nearly half century from the day when Wu Zetian became empress to the year when the Tang Dynasty was replaced by the Zhou are the most outstanding. During the period, a large number of niches were carved in the Longmen Grottoes, such as the Large Vairocana Niche (also called Fengxian Temple) carved in 675, the second year of the Shangyuan reign of the Tang Dynasty; Huijian Cave constructed in 673, the fourth year of the Xianheng reign of the Tang Dynasty, which mainly holds a statue of Maitreya; and the 100,000-Buddha Cave, finished in 680, the fist year of the Yonglong reign of the Tang Dynasty. They show the artisans' sonsummate skills. The Vairocana Niche boasts the largest and best group of rock carvings in the Longmen Grottoes. It ho uses a total of 11 Buddhist statues, showing a great variety of shapes, postures and facial expressions that none resembles another. They are games of the ancient stone carving art.

Located in Longsheng Hot Spring National Forest Park in jiangdi Township, Longsheng County, it is a national tourist attraction of AAAA level. In the scenic zone there are green mountains and verdant forests, and hot springs gush out of 1,200 meter-deep layers of rock. The hot spring can be divided into an uper group and a lower group with 16 springs altogether. The spring temperature is between 54-8 with a cold spring to regulate it. The specific feature about the water of the hot springs is that it has no smell at all and is drinkable, which has a wonderful taste.
